Job Description Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to design, implement, and maintain robust infrastructure solutions. This role emphasizes expertise in network routing, software load balancers (SLB/GSLB), reverse proxy configurations, and CDN technologies. Proficiency in Go programming is essential, particularly for developing and managing network routing configurations.

 

About Team:

Our team collaborates with Walmart International, which has over 5,900 retail units operating outside of the United States under 55 banners in 26 countries including Africa, Argentina, Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, Japan, and Mexico, to name a few.

 

What you'll do:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, resilient infrastructure using modern DevOps and SRE practices.
• Optimize and manage network routing, software load balancing (SLB/GSLB), reverse proxy setups, and CDN integrations.
• Build and maintain infrastructure on cloud platforms such as Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes, Istio, and Docker.
• Develop automation tools and scripts using Go, Python, and Shell scripting to streamline operations and improve reliability.
• Build and manage APIs to support infrastructure and application needs.
• Implement and maintain observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk, OpenObserve, Grafana, Prometheus, and the ELK stack.
• Lead Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) planning and execution.
• Troubleshoot complex network and system issues using deep knowledge of network protocols and diagnostic tools.
• Manage and optimize messaging queues and data streaming platforms like Kafka.
• Integrate and manage CDN solutions such as Akamai to ensure efficient content delivery.
• Perform advanced Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security of services.

 

What you'll bring:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering roles.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.
• Deep expertise in network routing, SLB/LB, reverse proxy, and CDN technologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and GCP.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, and Shell scripting, with experience in API development.
• Solid experience with observability tools like Splunk, OpenObserve, Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK.
• Familiarity with messaging and streaming platforms such as Kafka.
• Understanding of API standards (REST, SOAP) and data formats (JSON, XML).
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong Linux system administration and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication and collaboration abilities.
