 Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly experienced Intune Administrator (SME) who will be able to

lead and manage our organization's Mobile Device Management (MDM) initiatives. This

position requires deep hands-on experience with MDM solutions (such as Intune, JAMF,

Air Watch, or similar platforms) to ensure the effective deployment, management, and

security of mobile devices within our organization. The ideal candidate will also be

responsible for overseeing the MDM team, implementing best practices, and ensuring

our mobile security posture is strong and compliant.

Responsibilities:

MDM Solution Management:

  • Lead the deployment and administration of MDM solutions (e.g., Intune,

JAMF, MobileIron, Air Watch, etc.) across all mobile devices and

endpoints in the organization.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to define, implement, and manage

MDM policies for mobile devices, ensuring seamless integration and

secure device management.

  • Oversee the enrolment, configuration, and management of mobile

devices and applications, ensuring proper security protocols and

compliance standards are met.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Manage and mentor a team of MDM administrators, providing guidance

on best practices for device management, security, and troubleshooting.

  • Collaborate with IT security, network, and infrastructure teams to ensure

MDM policies are consistent with company security standards and

regulations.

  • Ensure team members are trained and up-to-date with the latest MDM

best practices, technologies, and security threats.

Mobile Device Security & Compliance:

  • Enforce security measures and policies to ensure mobile devices are

compliant with organizational security standards, including device

encryption, remote wipe capabilities, and application management.

  • Monitor and audit device compliance, resolving security risks and

addressing non-compliance issues promptly.

  • Implement and maintain security measures for data protection on mobile

devices in line with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).• MDM Policy

Development & Optimization:

  • Develop and enforce policies for mobile device usage, security,

application deployment, and management.

  • Continuously improve MDM processes and workflows for more efficient

and scalable device management.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve device configuration, deployment, and security

issues, ensuring quick response times and minimal business disruption.

Device Lifecycle Management:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of mobile devices from procurement,

deployment, maintenance, and end-of-life management, ensuring data

security during all phases.

  • Work closely with IT asset management and procurement teams to

ensure timely provisioning, decommissioning, and replacement of

devices as necessary.

Troubleshooting & Support:

  • Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for mobile device

issues, escalations, and incidents.

  • Respond to critical incidents or security breaches related to mobile

devices, ensuring fast resolution and minimal impact on business

operations.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain detailed documentation for MDM policies, configurations, and

procedures.

  • Generate regular reports on device compliance, health, and security for

senior management and other stakeholders.

  • Track and document device management incidents, resolutions, and

improvements to enhance the overall MDM program.

 

Requirements:

Technical Skills:

  • Extensive experience with MDM solutions such as Microsoft Intune,

JAMF, Air Watch, MobileIron, or similar enterprise MDM platforms.

  • Strong understanding of mobile device security, including device

encryption, remote wipe, compliance policies, and app management.

  • Experience in integrating MDM solutions with other corporate IT systems,

such as Active Directory, VPN, and cloud applications.

  • Familiarity with mobile operating systems (iOS, Android, Windows) and

mobile device management policies.

  • Team Leadership Proven experience leading a team of MDM administrators or IT

professionals.

  • Strong leadership skills, including team management, mentoring, and

fostering a collaborative work environment.

  • Ability to provide guidance and troubleshooting expertise for team

members and stakeholders.

 Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability

to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to device

management and troubleshooting.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.

Certifications:

  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator

Associate, JAMF Certified Technician, Apple Certified iOS Technician

(ACiT), or any relevant certifications in MDM tools and mobile security are

preferred.

  • CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security

Professional (CISSP), or similar certifications are a plus.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in MDM administration or similar IT roles, with a

deep understanding of MDM tools and their functionality.

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership or senior-level role, overseeing a

team of administrators or managing enterprise-level MDM

implementations.

  • Experience working with a large-scale mobile device fleet (500+ devices)

in an enterprise environment.
