Cyber Warfare SME, Senior

Key Role:

Conduct testing and analysis to identify vulnerabilities and potential threat vectors into systems and networks, develop exploits, and engineer attack methodologies. Apply advanced consulting skills or extensive technical expertise, including full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction, and mentor and supervise team members.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience working within operating system environments and complex networking concepts, and developing remediation steps, mitigations, and after-action reports
  • Experience with operational DoD or Navy cybersecurity networks and C4I systems 
  • Experience with vulnerability assessment and vulnerability management, network analysis, vulnerability, and discovery tools, and cyber kill chains and defense-in-depth 
  • Experience articulating technical findings into actionable items for non-technical audiences
  • Knowledge of DoD networks and communications, Windows and UNIX, TCP/IP, networking, and Kali Linux
  • Knowledge of the functionality and capabilities of computer network defense technologies, including Router ACLs, firewalls, IDS and IPS, antivirus, and web content filtering 
  • Knowledge of Navy networks and communications 
  • Top Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain a CompTIA Security+ or DoD 8140 IAT II Certification within 30 days of hire date

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience participating in blue team activities, incident response, or digital forensics 
  • Experience conducting defensive cyber actions and threat hunting 
  • Experience with the practical application of NIST 800-30 methodologies and processes for conducting risk assessments and identifying vulnerabilities 
  • Experience with tabletop cybersecurity risk assessments, including cyber tabletop, TMCRAs, MRAP-C, or CAKE, commercial cybersecurity and networking products, and industry tools 
  • Experience with a DoD Acquisition Program Office
  • Experience facilitating technical meetings and briefings, and briefing to senior-level clients and stakeholders 
  • Knowledge of Python 
  • Possession of strong report writing skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or Cybersecurity preferred; Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or Cybersecurity a plus
  • CEH, OSCP, GPEN, or GWAPT, or CISSP Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
