Vulnerability Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Design, develop, implement, and manage the Tenable suite of products to include vulnerability management, cloud security, OT security, and its related engineering projects from inception to completion and provide operating and maintenance (O&M) support. Conduct regular vulnerability scans using tools such as Tenable and Elastic Security Stack SIEM. Interpret scan results. Validate and prioritize discovered vulnerabilities based on exploitability, threat intelligence, and business risk. Coordinate with system owners and administrators to track and measure remediation efforts and verify closure. Provide technical recommendations to mitigate risks identified through assessments. Create and maintain dashboards, metrics, and executive-level reports on vulnerability status and trends. Configure and customize the Tenable Audit File associated with each approved configuration baseline and conduct an automated baseline compliance scan every 30 days. Apply principles, theories, and concepts of technical domain and other specialty areas.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience leading the identification, assessment, and remediation of vulnerabilities
  • Experience with enterprise vulnerability scanning tools, including Tenable suite, such as Tenable.sc, Tenable OT, or Nessus, and threat intelligence tools to prioritize risks
  • Knowledge of industry configuration benchmarks and threat intelligence sources, including STIGs and CIS
  • Ability to develop remediation plans, assign tasks, monitor progress, synthesize technical details into actionable risk insights, and communicate with stakeholders
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • CEH, CySA+, CASP+, or CISSP certification

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with ServiceNow
  • Experience Elastic Security Stack, including Elastic EDR
  • Experience with CDM applications such as Splunk, ForeScout and BigFix

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
