About the role

As a Security Engineer you will be part of the Cyber Security Operations Engineering team. Your role will be to develop Reckitt’s security controls and services in order to protect all applications / products / IT / networks and Cloud services; to drive security into all Reckitt’s cloud services providing visibility and control around Reckitt’s assets held within external hosting centers and services; to deliver designs, based on agreed architectural with a supporting roadmap; for all security controls to be underpinned by robust operational model and Service Wrapper; to drive a policy of ‘secure by design’ into the Reckitt environment. In order to maintain a simple, consolidated, cost effective and manageable security infrastructure estate. 

Your responsibilities

• Driving the security direction for Reckitt to protect Reckitt’s assets and services based on the defined risks to the business (as specified by the Risk Management Team) - Providing a balance between compliance with requirements, delivery times/costs and operability.  

• Implement security standards for all security solutions to meet the needs of Reckitt. 

• Strong leadership skills driven both from business and security perspectives to deliver security solutions which are aligned to Reckitt’s business needs.  

• Implement security standards for all security solutions to meet the needs of Reckitt.• Support implementation of security hardening standards for all infrastructure operating systems and configuration 

• Supervise, administer, monitor, maintain and/ or perform security operations tasks within technical security solutions 

• Support the security design and application assurance teams in relation to delivery of security architecture. 

• Support the security assurance team in relation to delivery of standard security best practices. 

• Support alignment to all relevant privacy regulations, security standards and accreditations, e.g. ISO27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, etc. 

• Support communications teams where required to ensure correct security messages are presented. 

• Evaluate new technology solutions working with internal developers and third-party vendors (in association with vendor management teams). 

The experience we're looking for

• At least 4 years of proven experience in the design and development of security solutions and services 

• Strong knowledge of software engineering, information risk, security guidelines and architecture standards 

• System testing skills / methodology 

• Innovative and experimental approach 

• Familiar with Windows, Linux operating systems 

• Ability to develop workable product solutions to address the strategic imperatives of the business. 

• Strong hands-on engineering experience within at least a few of the areas: Cloud security; IAM / PAM; Security monitoring; EDR; SIEM; SOAR; DLP; Email Security; Network security; Vulnerability scans; OT Security 

• Strong communication skills
