The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Security Operations Coordinator to join our Security team. In this pivotal role, your focus will cover some key technical areas within Security Operations, ensuring the safety and security of our people information and assets.
The Security Operations Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of security operations, providing technical and administrative support across the organisation. This role ensures effective management of access control, keying systems, and security technologies while supporting field security technicians, maintenance teams, project managers, engineers, and personnel to maintain robust protective security measures aligned with organisational risk management frameworks.
Some of the day-to-day work would include:
- Managing the administration of electronic access control systems, coordinating physical and electronic key management programs
- Provide frontline technical support and act as the point of contact for security operational enquiries from various internal and external stakeholders including field security technicians, maintenance teams, project managers, engineers, etc.
- Support the rollout of security initiatives and capital projects by collaborating with internal teams and external vendors, contributing technical expertise during security design reviews, commissioning, and defect resolution.
- Prepare and maintain operational procedures, manuals, and guidelines for security systems use and management.
- Conduct system commissioning inspections to ensure installations are compliant with design, functional specifications, and operational needs.
- Support security risk assessments and design reviews by providing practical insights into operational requirements and technical constraints.
- Participate in development and implementation of corrective and preventative controls to mitigate security and safety risks identified through incidents or assessments.
- Apply knowledge of security risk management, Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), Defence in Depth, and CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) principles to operational activities and project designs to strengthen protective security outcomes.

About You
To be successful in the delivery and execution of this portfolio, you would have knowledge and understanding through hands-on experience in:
- Operating or managing security systems deployed across multiple, geographically disparate sites, including key and PIN issuance, permission group configuration, and alarm monitoring.
- Working with security systems including Integriti, CyberLock/CyberKey, Traka, and related access control and CCTV technologies.
- Sound understanding of security risk management principles, PSPF requirements, Defence in Depth concepts, and CPTED principles.
- Exposure to supporting capital projects and security upgrades, including early engagement, scope development, commissioning, and defect resolution.
- Experience supporting incident response and investigations, including interpreting access logs, Cyber Key data, and CCTV footage.
- Demonstrated experience in administering access control and key management systems within a large or complex environment.
- Ability to conduct incident investigations and contribute to risk mitigation planning.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a security-related role, preferably within utilities, critical infrastructure, industrial, or government sectors.
