      • Enforce micro segmentation policies using Cisco TrustSec or SD-Access.

      • Coordinate application of DISA STIGs, IAVAs, and hardening baselines on Cisco platforms.

      • Ensure firewall policies, intrusion prevention (IPS), and access controls are correctly configured.

    • Routing & Segmentation

      • Manage routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) to support segmented, multi-tenant, or mission-partitioned environments.

      • Oversee VRFs, ACLs, QoS, and VLAN assignments in line with Zero Trust policy enforcement.

    • Monitoring, Troubleshooting, and Performance Tuning

      • Use tools like SolarWinds, Cisco DNA Center, Secure Network Analytics (Stealthwatch), and NetFlow for proactive monitoring.

      • Lead incident response for network outages or security anomalies; coordinate with Blue Team or SOC as needed.

      • Analyze logs and SNMP traps to identify trends or potential failures.

      • Track link utilization, device CPU/memory usage, and end-to-end latency.

    • Operational and Administrative Responsibilities

      • Team Management and Coordination

      • Supervise network engineers and administrators; assign daily tasks and troubleshooting tickets.

      • Conduct technical reviews and mentoring to ensure adherence to best practices.

    • Incident and Problem Management

      • Serve as escalation point for critical issues and root cause analysis.

      • Coordinate with vendors or Cisco TAC for complex technical support.

    • Documentation and Compliance

      • Maintain up-to-date network diagrams, inventory records, and configuration baselines.

      • Ensure systems comply with internal policies and external frameworks (e.g., RMF, NIST 800-53, CMMC).

    • Capacity and Lifecycle Planning

      • Plan for network growth, equipment replacement, and software refresh cycles.

      • Coordinate procurement of licenses, hardware, and support contracts.

    • Strategic and Cross-Functional Responsibilities
