The role
We are seeking a versatile Software Security Engineer to join our security team and help strengthen the security of our software, platforms, and infrastructure.
We value domain expertise in any of these areas, secure software development, vulnerability management or penetration testing and we are committed to supporting your growth across the others.
As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will collaborate closely with a team of skilled professionals, reporting to the Software Security Engineering Manager. You will contribute to securing our development ecosystem by identifying and mitigating risks, implementing security controls, and promoting security best practices.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead efforts to improve security in your area of expertise (software security, vulnerability management, or penetration testing) while collaborating with others to expand your knowledge.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks in software, platforms, and cloud infrastructure.
- Support or lead vulnerability management initiatives to prioritize and reduce risks.
- Integrate and operate security tools within the Secure Development Lifecycle (SDLC) or equivalent processes.
- Conduct security testing, code reviews, or penetration tests depending on your focus area.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with development, operations, and security teams to embed security best practices.
- Assist in maturing security processes and controls across the organization.
- Participate in knowledge sharing and continuous learning to grow your skills and the team’s capabilities.
- Perform other tasks as needed to support overall security objectives.
What You’ll Bring
- Demonstrated experience in at least one of the following domains:
- Secure software development with knowledge of security principles and coding practices (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java).
- Vulnerability management, including risk assessment, tracking, and remediation coordination.
- Penetration testing and security assessments of applications, networks, or infrastructure.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset to assess technical risks and constraints.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to engage with stakeholders across teams.
- Ability and willingness to learn and grow into other cybersecurity domains with our support.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Portuguese.
