IT Security Specialist

About the job:

We are looking for a creative and self-motivated Security Specialists to join the SOC team of our partner company. As a Security Specialist, you will become an integral part of the team responsible for handling incoming customer tickets, including the identification, documentation, and analysis of security events.

The team is structured to provide continuous 24/7 coverage. After successful onboarding, you will be included in the on-call rotation, with each team member scheduled to provide after-hours support on a weekly basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, document, and analyze security incidents to ensure prompt and effective response.
• Monitor and analyze security alerts using a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system.
• Investigate and process security events via ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and accurate documentation.
• Act as a point of contact and advisor for customers and internal teams.
• Support the implementation of security measures and contribute to the optimization of global IT security policies.
• Proactively expand knowledge of relevant products, technologies, and security trends to maintain a high level of expertise.

Requirements

Language Requirements:

• Proficient communication skills in both German and English.

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of IT training or a degree in computer science, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in IT security.
• In-depth knowledge of IT security, preferably with a specific emphasis on Microsoft 365 Security Center, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and SIEM systems.
• Experience in customer consulting and support.
• A strong technical background, including practical experience with networking and commonly used Microsoft platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completed or ongoing IT security training and relevant certifications.
