Leidos National Security Sector (NSS) is seeking a highly motivated Lead Software Developer to support our Agile DevSecOps program and provide the FBI with software development expertise.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support collaborative system delivery through configuration management, automated building, automated testing, automated deployment, and automated monitoring and notification.
Create and maintain code comments or inline documentation where necessary to improve the readability of the code.
Support government personnel in the creation, modification, and documentation of all enhancement efforts, including system design documents, standard operating procedures, operations and maintenance manuals/procedures, software development plans, and related documentation.
Deliver solutions using repeatable infrastructure as code (IaC), controlled by configuration management; promoting higher quality systems that can operate in heterogeneous processing environments.
Use a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline for automated software deployments to demonstrate software efficiencies, automated testing, change management process, and security compliance.
Develop, maintain, and improve software systems using cloud-native development approaches, utilizing the backend and frontend technologies
Design, develop, deliver, and maintain software systems that conform to Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, as amended by the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 (P.L. 105-220).
Utilize and have experience with Agile project management software such as Jira and Confluence to enable teams to dynamically plan, track, document, and manage workflows and system reference material.
Perform user interface, user experience, and front-end design while expediting the requirements and customer approval process by high fidelity mockups.
Basic Qualifications:
BS degree and twelve (12) years of overall experience in Software Development. (additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree)
Experience in providing technical leadership on major software development tasks.
Experience providing strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to other software developers.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with any of the following:
Object-oriented programming using Microsoft Visual Studio and the .NET Framework
C#, VB.NET, and C++ programming languages, including use of WCF, Entity Framework, XML/XSD, and REST API
Third-party software components such as DevExpress and Northwoods GoDiagram
TeamCity and Octopus for automating software build deployments
Artifactory
InstallShield for packaging and deploying Windows desktop applications
PowerShell
Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and 2022
Software unit testing tools such as NUnit
Automated software integration testing tools such as SpecFlow or Reqnroll
Automated software UI testing tools such as SmartBear TestComplete
Microsoft Azure DevOps for managing user stories and system capabilities
Secure communications using X509 certificates; implementing STIGs
Security scanning tools such as Fortify and AppDetective
Clearance Required:
Current Secret.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
