The Marketing Privacy team is seeking two strategic and experienced Senior Privacy Managers with experience in advertising technology (ad tech) and marketing to support global privacy initiatives across digital marketing, media, and data-driven advertising platforms. This role is critical in operationalizing privacy strategy to ensure compliance, build trust, and enable innovation in a rapidly evolving regulatory and technological landscape.

Responsibilities
Privacy Strategy & Governance
- Support the development and implementation of privacy strategies for marketing and ad tech, including programmatic advertising, data management platforms (DMPs), demand-side platforms (DSPs), and identity resolution.
- Serve as a resource on global privacy laws (e.g., General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)/ California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), Digital Markets Act, ePrivacy) and Microsoft privacy standards as they relate to digital advertising and marketing technologies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence
- Partner with Legal, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to embed privacy-by-design into advertising and marketing campaigns.
- Provide guidance on the use of cookies, pixels, Software Development Kits (SDKs), and other tracking technologies, including consent management and user choice mechanisms.
- Deliver actionable recommendations to business stakeholders to mitigate privacy risks while enabling business goals.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Conduct privacy reviews and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) for marketing and ad tech initiatives.
- Monitor and interpret regulatory developments, enforcement actions, and industry best practices (e.g., Global Privacy Control).
Data Ethics & Innovation
- Advocate for ethical data use in advertising and marketing, balancing personalization with user autonomy and transparency.
- Evaluate and support the implementation of privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs) such as differential privacy, clean rooms, and anonymization techniques.
Training & Awareness
- Develop and deliver training and awareness programs for internal stakeholders on ad tech and marketing privacy risks and compliance requirements.

Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Business, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in privacy, data protection, or compliance, with a focus on advertising technology or marketing OR equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting or scaling privacy programs in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Experience with global privacy regulations and industry frameworks.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) Degree AND 7+ years experience in privacy, data protection, or compliance, with a focus on advertising technology or marketing, or related field AND 8+ years experience in privacy, data protection, or compliance, with a focus on advertising technology or marketing OR Bachelor's Degree in Science, Business, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years experience in privacy, data protection, or compliance, with a focus on advertising technology or marketing OR equivalent experience.
- Relevant Privacy Certification from International Association of Privacy Professionals [IAPP].
- Experience working with or within ad tech platforms, publishers, or agencies.
- Experience in the digital advertising ecosystem, including first-party and third-party data flows, real-time bidding (RTB), and identity frameworks.
Compliance IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
Compliance IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
