What will you do: 

As manager of the Security Operations Center, you are the red line between the Global Security and the business. You act as the first point of escalation (Duty Manager) for your team, assisting the team in scoping and identifying potential malicious activities. This includes on-call rotation during weekends. As a SOC Duty Manager you are also an integral part of Swift’s Business Resiliency functions and responsible to work with all other Duty Managers in Swift on potential issues that could impact Swift.   

Next to the operational activities you are part of the Cyber Fusion Center leadership team where you will work together with your colleagues on executing the Global Security and Cyber Fusion Center strategy. You will work with your team on a variety of different projects and initiatives. You will develop & empower the security professionals in your team to drive and steer the projects and initiatives to a successful outcome. 

Part of the role is team management, in line with Swift’s core values you will perform talent and performance management activities for your team. You’ll have regular one two ones with the team where you will discuss job progression and development. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Security monitoring: empower and enable the team to work on detection, response, investigation and analysis of events
  • Maintain a Security Operations Center schedule to ensure proper staffing levels to provide the SOC service
  • Own, review and update SOC processes according to best practices and in line with Swift’s overall processes
  • Perform talent and performance assessments in line with Swift’s guidelines and policies
  • End-to-end responsible for Security incident management
  • Weekend on-call service for the SOC Duty Manager role 
  • Relationship management, be the vocal point for the SOC. Point of contact for security questions, escalations, or concerns
  • Part of the Cyber Fusion Center management (leadership) team
  • Act as point of contact for regular internal and external audits. Owner and responsible for several audit controls
  • Vendor management, owning and responsible for several external vendors that are providing services to the SOC

Experience & Profile: 

  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on people, collaboration, coaching and servant leadership 
  • Hands-on experience with incident response management
  • You have a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Security, Information Systems, or have equivalent knowledge and experience
  • You have a solid understanding of Swift’s business or are willing to learn 
  • You have a passion for Information Security in a way that enables business to thrive 
  • Prior experience in working with business, technical and executive profiles with the ability to adapt messages across different types of audience (business, technical…)
  • Autonomous, accountable and result-driven with strong ability to quickly adapt and respond to change
  • Agile mindset and ability to deliver with a focus on customer and quality and ability to drive virtual technical teams in an Agile multicultural environment
  • Personal drive, passion and enthusiasm to both understand and successfully navigate a company undergoing meaningful transformation in technology
  • Proven track record of improving performance and driving high performance in their current team
  • Able to develop effective internal and external relationships across divisional boundaries and demonstrate that they can make and influence decision making
  • Ability to manage, develop and retain, both remote and virtual, a highly technical and diverse global organization
  • Experience recruiting, building and leading world-class teams
