MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Security Engineer/Architect to join our team in Doral, FL.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Acts as a top-level authority on enterprise cybersecurity, offering strategic vision and technical leadership for security projects in multi-cloud and hybrid environments.

• Designs and implements advanced security architectures that tackle modern threats and meet strict regulatory standards for Collateral, SCI, and SAP.

• Pioneers the use of advanced analytics, automation, and AI to improve security control design, threat detection, and response.

• Leads the creation of comprehensive Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages and collaborates with leadership and technical teams to guide security policy and strategy.

• Mentors both senior and junior security engineers, sharing expertise and promoting a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
   

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA/BS in field necessary to assume Security Engineer/Architect duties or 4 additional years experience in lieu of a degree

• 12+ years of experience with 9+ years of relevant Security Engineer experience.

• 7+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity engineering and architecture, with a focus on enterprise-level solutions. 

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or a related field. Extensive experience with vulnerability assessments, SCAP scans, STIG checklists, and advanced security testing methodologies. Deep expertise in developing and implementing comprehensive RMF packages for complex Federal agency systems. Proven ability to design and implement advanced security controls for multi-cloud and hybrid environments. 

• Expert knowledge of NIST, DoD, and Federal agency security standards and guidelines. Demonstrated ability to lead complex security projects and initiatives. 

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and leadership skills. 

• Expertise in security automation and orchestration. DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level III and DoD 8570.01-M IASAE Level III certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in STEM or a related field.

• Extensive experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC), with a focus on threat hunting, incident response, and security automation using scripting languages like Python and PowerShell.

• Deep understanding of AI/ML applications in cybersecurity and experience with Zero Trust architectures.

• Expertise in developing and delivering security training and workshops, as well as contributing to security standards or research.

• Holds expert-level certifications, such as CISSP-ISSAP/ISSEP, and professional cloud certifications from AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must have a current/active Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in stationary position for up to 50% of the time.

• Must be able to deliver clear and effective communication verbally and via email, phone, and virtual communication platforms to interface with co-workers and customers.

• Must be able to occasionally move about inside an office environment to access file cabinets, office machinery, and communicate with co-workers.
