Grand Canyon University is seeking a GenCyber Student Outreach leader to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through GCU's CET-Technology department.

Purpose within the Organization:

The purpose of this position is to support the growth, efforts, and goals of the CET-Technology’s GenCyber Grant

Responsibilities Related to Purpose:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of outreach campaigns and events such as workshops and info sessions
  • Conduct research on best practices in STEM/tech outreach and engagement.
  • Maintain contact lists and assist with communications to prospective students, community partners, and academic stakeholders.
  • Represent the department or program at internal and external events
  • Track participation data and assist in basic reporting and assessment activities
  • Perform other administrative or communication-related tasks as needed
  • Must be willing to travel off campus

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge in cybersecurity, programming, cryptography, digital forensics, and/or cyber awareness
  • Strong interest in promoting education and careers in technology
  • Reliable, organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work individually as well as in a team setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn and teach small tasks to others

Education:

Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:

  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.

Pay Rate: Minimum Wage

Anticipated End Date: July 30th, 2026
