Position Summary: The Director of IT Security is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy that protects WLG’s digital assets, systems, and data across on-premises and cloud environments. Reporting to the CIO, this leader will ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information while enabling secure operations and maintaining compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain firmwide IT security policies, standards, and procedures that align with firm objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the design and implementation of security controls across cloud environments (AWS, Azure), ensuring robust protection of data, applications, and infrastructure.
- Conduct a comprehensive security assessment of the current IT environment, identify gaps, and implement remediation plans.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and emerging threats using modern detection and response tools/
- Own the IT risk management program, including risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and reporting to executive leadership.
- Evaluate and manage third-party vendors to ensure compliance with WLG’s security standards and contractual obligations.
- Lead security architecture reviews for new technologies and projects, ensuring security is embedded by design.
- Partner with the Infrastructure team on identity and access management (IAM), including SSO, MFA, and least-privilege access models.
- Stay ahead of evolving threats, including technical, geopolitical, and industry-specific risks, and proactively adjust the security strategy.
- Educate and train staff on cybersecurity best practices, fostering a culture of security awareness and accountability.
Physical Requirements:
- Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions.
- Stationary Position – Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
- Move or Traverse – This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery, etc. May occasionally ascends/descends the stairs to get to other floors, cafeteria and parking area.
- Dexterity – constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine/printer.
- Move, Transport, Position, Put, Install, Remove - Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event needs.
- Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information - The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, Assess - The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
