The Riot Games Senior Manager, Physical Security and Safety is our Global Leader in strategizing and delivering a physical security and safety program for Rioters across the world. In this role, you will enable the business to thrive through development and implementation of industry-leading safety and security policies, procedures and programs which meet or exceed regulatory and compliance standards and reduce risks to Rioters, facilities and assets while promoting an innovative approach that puts players at the center of everything we do.

As the Senior Manager, Physical Security & Safety, you develop and scale best-in class safety, security and crisis management programs in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You conceptualize, build and lead a diverse team with a focus on risk-based global programs and solutions to address evolving business needs. You will report to the Global Head of Workplace Experience.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the Global Physical Security & Safety to include the 24x7 Global Security Operations Center, on-site and off-site event security services, crisis management, workplace and travel safety, executive protection, and workplace investigations for all physical locations and remote workforce across the globe.

  • Lead key initiatives in global security and safety including but not limited to strategic planning, risk assessments, threat intelligence, and executive protection in support of our bold bets and brand
  • Establish and enforce security policies, standards, and protocols, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Oversee access control systems, surveillance systems and incident response protocols as well as managing emergency preparedness plans, including evacuation and disaster recovery procedures
  • Support/ perform strategic analysis and present recommendations for safety and security programs that influence decision makers to proactively and flexibly support team growth
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to proactively prevent adverse incidents, promote a culture of safety, and manage critical situations in coordination with other departments throughout the business (e.g., HR, IT, and Legal) to address multidisciplinary security needs. Oversee investigations and, where necessary, lead opportunities for process improvement cross functionally
  • Develop and present regular reports on security performance, incident trends and mitigation strategies. Keep abreast of current federal and local laws/regulations, threats, and concerns, consistently documenting and relaying important information in an effective manner when necessary
  • Develop operating procedures, systems and processes that support dissemination of critical information, track accountabilities, and in support of operational efficiencies
  • Support your team in their growth and performance as well as performance manage contractual relationships with outsourced security personnel
  • Foster a culture of security awareness across the organization
  • Develop and manage an annual budget for security guard as well as operations center function and vendor contracts, and other tasks related to the global safety and security team

Required Qualifications: 

  • 8-10+ years corporate physical security & safety experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Experience with risk management, emergency response, incident investigations, security operation command center functions as well as executive protection
  • Familiarity with systems and tools that promote a safe and secure environment (threat monitoring and intelligence, CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, etc)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and vendor contracts, including measuring performance and negotiating scopes of services
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills able to  convey issues and recommendations to an executive audience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to Criminal Justice, Security Management, Safety or equivalent
  • CPP or PSP certification
  • Master’s degree or MBA is a plus
