Who we are
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized cybersecurity analyst to join our Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) team. As a member of our cybersecurity "Eyes On Glass" team, you will be responsible for following predefined procedures and runbooks to monitor, detect, and respond to potential security threats for multiple clients.
As a member of our cybersecurity "Eyes On Glass" team, you will have the opportunity to work with a range of clients in various industries and sectors. You will need to be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work well under pressure, as you will be responsible for managing and responding to security incidents for multiple clients at the same time. You will also need to have excellent communication skills, as you will be interacting with a range of stakeholders from different organizations. Finally, you should be comfortable working in a 24/7 shift program, as you will be responsible for monitoring and responding to security incidents around the clock for multiple clients.
What you'll be doing
- Follow predefined procedures and runbooks to monitor and analyze incoming security alerts and log data from various sources, including intrusion detection and prevention systems, security information and event management (SIEM) tools, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions, for multiple clients
- Quickly and accurately triage potential security incidents, assess their severity and impact, and escalate them to the appropriate level of the incident response process for the specific client
- Provide timely and accurate information to the incident response team for the specific client, including critical details on the nature of the attack, the systems and data affected, and the potential impact on the client
- Collaborate with other members of the cybersecurity team, including level 2 and level 3 analysts, to investigate, contain, and remediate security incidents for multiple clients
- Participate in regular security training and continuing education to stay up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices for multiple clients
- Collaborate with other MSSP team members to maintain and update predefined procedures and runbooks
- Answer calls received and direct them to the appropriate contact to resolve their queries
- Support other non-cybersecurity teams when needed
What you'll bring along
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Understanding of networking, operating systems, and cybersecurity technologies, including SIEMs, IDS/IPS, and EDR solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, stakeholders, and other team members
- Comfortable working in a 24/7 shift program, including weekends and holidays
- Customer oriented behaviour
- Fluent English verbally and in writing.
