Evolver, LLC, a trusted IT transformation & cybersecurity provider, develops scalable tech solutions for government agencies and modern enterprises.Evolver Federal is seeking a Junior Cybersecurity Reporting & Automation Developer experience to support its Federal client in Springfield, VA in building and maintaining workflows and supporting its business processes using ServiceNow and leading the automation of workflows supporting cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance processes using tools such as Power BI, Tableau and Splunk. The Analyst will also support the client in processing FISMA inventory change requests using ServiceNow and identify process improvements to help drive further efficiencies.
The successful candidate will possess general knowledge of cybersecurity and have previous experience developing solutions within the ServiceNow platform including workflows, implementing business rules/ logic, developing scheduled jobs and developing and running scripts. A strong background in data engineering, dashboard development, and cybersecurity metrics-particularly FISMA-is essential. The candidate should be able to integrate data from multiple sources, develop dynamic visualizations, and automate reporting workflows to support cybersecurity compliance and decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Applying knowledge of cybersecurity, design and implement workflows, business rules, scheduled Jobs, and scripts.
- Lead automation of inventory workflows, including Inventory Change Request (ICR) processing, reporting, and approval workflows.
- Develop and maintain efficient, cost-effective processes using a FISMA Compliance Tool and front-end applications.
- Provide guidance to developers for updates to authorized platforms and applications.
- Maintain and enhance the FISMA ICR Portal (ServiceNow), including development of new features and resolution of back-end issues.
- Perform day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of ServiceNow, make necessary modifications, apply fixes to the back-end of the portal.
- Provide feedback for updates to ServiceNow application content as needed.
- Perform data analysis, build reports, and develop dashboards.
- Develop compliance dashboards using centralized security authorization data to support cybersecurity risk analytics.
- Coordinate with the stakeholders to gather requirements and customize dashboards and reports for leadership.
- Create custom dashboards and scheduled reports to support leadership decision-making and federal reporting requirements
- Build risk models and generate reports to support management in accurately representing data to measure compliance and enable risk management decisions.
- Compile and organize data to prepare routine and ad hoc reports for federal staff review.
- Process daily Inventory Change Requests (ICRs) received via ServiceNow and maintain the FISMA Inventory Mailbox.
- Respond to ServiceDesk and direct inquiries related to FISMA Inventory.
- Create and automate Monthly ICR Reports and include metrics in broader inventory reporting.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to streamline manual processes and improve the performance of reporting systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet mission needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Government.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Basic Requirements
- 1 year of related experience with Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of overall related experience in a relevant field
- Must have a current Active Secret clearance
- 1 year of experience developing solutions within the ServiceNow platform.
- 1 year of experience with ServiceNow, including working knowledge of ServiceNow modules including experience with ServiceNow and IT Service Management (ITSM) data and reporting modules.
- 1 year of experience with in tools such as Oracle, Power BI, Crystal Reports, and Excel for building dashboards and reports (or Similar tools)
- 1 year of experience using SQL, Excel, and tools such as Elastic Stack, Tableau and/or Splunk.
- 1 year of experience with scripting and automation in JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIs, Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automating
- 1 year of experience with using Python and/or R for advanced data manipulation and automation.
- 1 year experience using SharePoint to manage and integrate data from various sources.
- 1 year of experience working to execute NIST 800-37, Risk Management Framework.
- Previous client-engagement experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of experience developing solutions within the ServiceNow platform.
- Possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills, must be able to demonstrate success in applying these skills to the client/ contract workspace.
- Possess a strong understanding of scripting & Query Languages including SQL for querying databases.
- Familiarity with the requirements of and tools used to support CDM (Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation) in the federal government.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively via written and verbal communication in both formal and informal situations.
- Ability to adapt to frequent changes in priorities, follow project schedules, meet established deadlines, and proactively communicate risks and issues to the Contractor PM and/or Federal Leads.
- Possess good listening skills and the ability to detect explicit and implicit needs and wants of the client.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment, prioritize multiple tasks, and problem solve under pressure of deadlines and resource constraints.
- Possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to apply them to the client/ contract workspace.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- DHS HQ or Component- level experience preferred.
- A security -related certification such as Security +, CISA, Certified Authorization Professional (CAP), or Certified in Governance, Risk and Compliance (CGRC); and/or
- A ServiceNow certification such as ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA), ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) - for custom app development
- Other relevant certifications include: Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Tableau Desktop Specialist or Certified Associate, Splunk Core Certified Power User, Splunk Certified Data Analyst, Elastic Certified Engineer, Elastic Certified Analyst
