Job Description
As the I&C Cyber Security Engineer for Assystem, you will be instrumental in securing the operational technology (OT) aspects of our nuclear projects. This role focuses on safeguarding the Instrumentation & Control (I&C) systems at HPC from cyber threats during storage, installation, and commissioning phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and lead the OT Commissioning Security Plan according to I&C Site Security Arrangements Guidance.
- Serve as the primary cyber security contact during HPC construction, ensuring comprehensive protection against cyber threats.
- Collaborate closely with the commissioning team and Cyber Security & Information Assurance Manager to maintain and enhance security measures.
- Conduct risk assessments, develop security protocols, and provide expert advice on cybersecurity best practices.
- Support ongoing assurance activities and manage cybersecurity aspects of supplier arrangements during project phases.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be eligible for SC Clearance (Non-UK Residents cannot be considered)
- Degree in a related field or substantial relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of OT risk management, cyber threats, and I&C systems operations.
- Expertise in information security standards like ISO27000, NCSC, GDPR, and ICS standards such as IEC 62443, NIST SP.
- Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with key project stakeholders.
Desirable Attributes:
- Prior experience with I&C systems in a nuclear environment.
- Recognized certifications (ISC2 CISSP, GIAC GICSP).
- Familiarity with nuclear security regulations and standards (NISR 2003, ONR Security Assessment Principles).
- Proven track record in a large-scale project environment.
