As a Cyber Claims & Incident Management Specialist at Resilience, you will be essential in upholding our promise of exceptional service by efficiently managing a caseload of insurance claims from initiation to closure. You will assess claims, determine liability, and ensure a fair settlement, all while providing excellent customer service and maintaining compliance with legal and procedural requirements.

As a Cyber Claims & Incident Management Specialist at Resilience, you will be essential in upholding our promise of exceptional service by efficiently managing a caseload of insurance claims from initiation to closure. You will assess claims, determine liability, and ensure a fair settlement, all while providing excellent customer service and maintaining compliance with legal and procedural requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the handling of a cyber claim event (BEC, ransomware, data breach, etc).
- Assist with managing the incident response team of privacy counsel, digital forensics team, and data mining/notification vendors when applicable.
- Investigate insurance claims by interviewing the insured to determine cyber event damages.
- Review and interpret insurance policies to determine coverage.
- Document claims activities and findings comprehensively and timely in the claims management system.
- Negotiate claim settlements and authorize payments within prescribed limits.
- Collaborate with legal counsel on complex claims and represent the company in external negotiations.
- Assist in fraud detection and validation processes to prevent fraudulent claims.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in claims handling or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of insurance law and contracts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Google Suite and claims management software.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to handle sensitive situations diplomatically.
- Licensed as a Claims Adjuster, a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
