Job Summary
Manages IT / Cyber Security (CS) projects to deliver the project approved scope with cost and schedule control and certainty in alignment with defined PMO stage gate processes. Partners with stakeholders and resource managers to provide direction to project team members, identify and mitigate risks, and resolve or escalate issues that affect these projects. Provides management insight into how the status of those projects affect business, project, and operational goals. Plan, coordinate and document project related activities to deliver project objectives. Manage the project delivery activities, resourcing, budget, procurement, schedule, stakeholder engagement, and reporting. Defines the project organization structure required for the project and identifies the technical resources required to achieve project goals; work with appropriate Entergy management and/or vendor partners for assignment of resources to the project team.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate and document project related activities
- Lead project team to establish leading indicators and proactive requirements to deliver customer value and business outcomes; execute projects is accordance with applicable corporate standards, guidelines, policies and processes; adhere to all reporting and submission deadlines, including monthly financial cost analysis
- Define the project organization structure required for the project and identify the technical resources required to achieve project goals; work with appropriate Entergy management and/or vendor partner for assignment of resources to the project team; prepare and manage vendor contracts and change orders, review vendor invoices and route for approval
- Manage assigned projects to meet scope, budget, and schedule commitments and maintain communication channels to provide CS and customer stakeholders with insight into the programs and its status; resolve and/or escalate risks and issues as necessary
- Provide clear, timely and accurate project status reports; prepare reports and presentations to stakeholders as necessary
- Provide leadership, oversight and coordination to various internal and external resources providing services for the projects assigned
- Develop business cases and initiate projects to align with departmental strategy
- Participate in the acquisition of related software, products and service
- Manage the integration of vendor tasks; track and review vendor deliverables (as applicable)
- Responsible to ensure that overall project technical design aligns with architecture and security standards
- Proactively manage risks; actively create and execute mitigation plans to prevent unauthorized or unplanned increases in scope, schedule and budget
- Participate in the acquisition of related software, products and services
- Manage the integration of vendor tasks; track and review vendor deliverables (as applicable)
- Recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solution of problems; adjust project as necessary to meet changing requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education needed:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred in Business, Computer Science, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Master’s Degree is a plus.
Minimum Experience needed:
- 4+ years leading IT/Cybersecurity projects as a project manager or program manager Leadership experience directing resources and managing work across multiple teams and people is a plus.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities needed:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills at multiple levels
- Technical understanding of IT and/or systems operations
- Some knowledge of cyber security standards (such as NIST-CSF) and an understanding of executing projects in a regulated environment (i.e. SOX, NERC CIP, FERC, NRC, etc.) is preferred.
- Knowledge of Project Scheduling Software (Microsoft Project, P6, etc.) and how to create and manage project schedules
- Proficient in office tools such as Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Proficient with meeting scheduling, meeting facilitation, and collaboration tools including on-line meetings, instant messaging, and video conferencing.
- Experienced with procurement processes including contract and vendor management.
- Experienced with executive Timeline Creation, Communication, and Management
- Available to travel as needed, be available, and able to work irregular hours for project go-lives and deadlines.
- Able to report to the Entergy office as required during normal working hours for collaboration meetings and on-site events and must satisfy residency requirements per Entergy's Work Location Flexibility policy.
- Able to work from home in a low-noise, relatively distraction-free home office environment with high network bandwidth and to be available during normal business hours except for excused absences.
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required of the position:
- PMI PMP Certification is a plus
- Agile Certification is a plus
- Alternate Project Management certifications are a plus
