Security Operations Specialist

We are looking for a Security Operations Specialist  to join our Information Security team in our Berlin office.

Your role in our beehive 

• Monitor and maintain security tools, including endpoint security, firewalls, and vulnerability scanners, to safeguard Scoutbee's systems and data.
• Prioritize and take action on security alerts to mitigate potential risks promptly.
• Provide technical response to security incidents, conducting thorough investigations and implementing appropriate countermeasures.
• Conduct log reviews and privileged access reviews to identify and address any unauthorized activities or potential security breaches.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and external service providers to streamline security operations and identify areas for improvement and simplification.
• Assist in the optimization of security workflows and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Nice to have

• knowledge of frameworks such as ISO27001, TISAX, NIST 800-53, and ISO42000.
• Scripting and automation experience.
• Experience with SSDLC tools (SAST, DAST, SCA, container security tools, threat modeling).
• Understanding of Kubernetes and containerization technologies.

What you bring to our beehive

• At least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or security operations roles.
• Educational background in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Experience with pentesting and vulnerability assessment techniques.
• Passion for cybersecurity and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and developments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a cross functional environment.
