Systems Engineer

Skills & Qualifications

• Field sales experience.
• Experience in technical/pre-sales support as a sales or systems engineer
• Experience in LAN/WAN/Internet services administration
• Experience with Wireless technologies, deploying, supporting, and doing site surveys.
• Solid understanding of Wireless Authentication technologies 
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP Suite.
• Understanding of Cloud technologies.
• Knowledge of the following technologies: Routing, Switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, VLAN, Network Security, Firewall, Intrusion Detection, and anti-virus.
• Solid understanding of most of the following technologies and protocols: SD-WAN, SASE, ZTNA, SIEM, XDR, EDR, WAF, Email Security, NAC, CASB, RADIUS, PKI, IKE, Certificates, IPSEC, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, LDAP, SHA1, DES, 3DES, DNS, HTTP, FTP, TCP, UDP, SMTP, ICMP, NTP, SNMP, DHCP, SAML.
• Experience with encryption and authentication technologies required
• Strong presentation skills
• Fluent in English
• Certifications:  CCIE, CISSP

 

Job duties and responsibilities:

• Pre-sales - assist in qualifying sales leads from a technical standpoint.
• Sales calls - Be the main technical resource on sales calls and answer/ educate the customer on issues ranging from features, specifications, functionality, and integration.
• Conversant with networking applications and solutions.
• Post-sales - Be the lead technical contact for identified accounts with technical issues and work closely with the technical support team and engineering to answer, elevate, and resolve customers’ technical issues.
• Assist identified customers with post-sales training.
