Job Description

Commercial Head Of SOC - UK wide Remote with Travel 

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic SOC Head to lead our Security Operations Center (SOC) team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing SOC teams, handling tenders for SOC services, and overseeing commercial aspects. This role requires a strong leader with deep knowledge of cybersecurity operations and a strategic mindset to drive the success of our SOC services.

Duties: 

• Lead and manage the SOC team, ensuring efficient and effective operations
• Develop and implement SOC strategies and processes to enhance security operations
• Oversee the commercial aspects of SOC services, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance
• Handle tenders for SOC services, ensuring competitive and comprehensive proposals
• Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and provide tailored solutions
• Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through effective communication and service delivery
• Monitor and analyse security incidents, ensuring timely response and resolution
• Continuously improve SOC services by leveraging the latest technologies and best practices
• Manage recruitment, training, and professional development of SOC team members
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the SOC team
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and clients
• Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations
• Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on SOC performance and initiatives

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of the technological solutions - XDR/NDR/Dark web monitoring, SOAR, IR, etc.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field; Advanced degree preferred
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a SOC environment
• Proven experience in managing SOC teams and handling tenders for SOC services
• Strong understanding of commercial aspects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance
• Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
• In-depth knowledge of security operations, incident response, and threat management
