About the role

Trideca is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to work on one of our exciting projects in Melbourne!

Job Requirements

• Define and drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) patterns and automation approach for changes and environment maintenance.
• Practice sustainable incident response using incident response playbooks & automated recovery mechanisms to improve MTTR (Mean Time to Restore).
• In-depth knowledge of monitoring and alerting for Production stacks
• Support the compliance and vulnerability management for the services, platform and cloud infrastructure.
• Identify shared engineering problems/gaps that have not been solved and work with platform engineering team to develop/contribute those patterns to the wider community.
• Guide Infrastructure capacity planning activities to ensure safe usage and scaling of services.
• Maintaining and improving existing repos as the code owner for any infra changes.
• Identify cloud cost optimizations and refine automation to help team become more productive.
• Actively working on at least one major cloud provider (AWS/Azure).
• Hands-on experience in coding with languages - NodeJS, Python & Unix as well as tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Jenkins, Terraform and Harness.
• Familiarity with various operating systems (Linux, Mac OS, Windows).
• Proficiency with containerisation technologies (Docker/Kubernetes) and usage of Helm Charts
• Experience with Log monitoring solutions such as Splunk, OpenSearch and AppDynamics
• Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow
• Experience with certificate management tools such as Venafi, api gateway such as Kong, Secret management tool such as Hashicorp vault, Artifactory, Snyk
• Outstanding communication skills and a team player
