Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 DOE

About the role

You will consult on and help to design and implement Modern Workplace solutions with a focus on content, collaboration, knowledge, and insights. In addition, you will help to develop innovative propositions in the consultancy and platform solution space, together with your fellow business and implementation consultants

As our Modern Workplace Consultant you will use your experience and knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Architecture, administration, and best practice recommendations, to assist customers with the design, development and deployment of Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions.  

As Modern Workplace Consultant your focus is on communication and collaboration systems and workplace services including desktop solutions, collaboration technologies, voice solutions and enablement of secure remote working environments. You will be responsible for the delivery of project assignments across the following core platforms:

Microsoft 365

Microsoft Azure

Desktop as a Service (AVD/W365)

This role may be performed remotely (in the UK). The option to work from any ARO office on a Hybrid basis is also available. Please note there will be occasional travel to customer sites with this role.  

Requirements

What you'll do

• You will contribute to project activities being undertaken by your respective Modern Workplace squad. You will attend morning stand-ups to review project progress from the previous day, plan activities for the forthcoming day and identify any blockers raised by the team.
• Hands on delivery of all project-based assignments within your squad including Consultancy, Migrations, Workshops, Demonstrations & Training
• Facilitate and lead client solution planning meetings and articulate pros & cons of design/architecture decisions.
• Demonstrate strong customer relationship skills and a willingness to lead customers through successful challenging projects which includes estimating, scoping, and writing effective statements of work that clearly set expectations and limit risk.
• Establish reputation as subject matter expert in Modern Workplace Solutions
• Deliver presentations and training to customers both remotely and at the customer offices
• Provide knowledge handover and training to other members of the Technical Team as required. Act as a mentor to other Engineers and assist them with any queries with which they require support.
• Research products, technologies, solutions and/or approaches to enhance the customer engagement and work to develop standards for the guidance of others.
• Maintain and develop your own knowledge in light of technological developments, best business practice and the business objectives

Whilst most work will take place during normal business hours there will be times when work must take place outside these times. Where possible you will be informed in advance of these events, but the nature of the work requires that you be flexible. Overtime or time in lieu will be provided for this work.

What we are looking for? 

Essential Experience:  

• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role as a Modern Workplace consultant.  

• Microsoft Partner Experience, both consulting and hands-on in the design & implementation of Mid – Enterprise M365 / Azure Solutions.  

• Experience with consulting roles in customer engagements and heading up projects.   
• Ability to apply user experience design principles and tools in an engagement.  

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to enterprise organisations,   

• The ability to build client relationships and lead workshops  

• Experience of working in an Agile environment   

 Essential Qualifications:  

• Microsoft 365 Certified

Desirable 

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate  

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Speciality  

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect
