Why We Need you! 

The role of Security Architect involves developing cybersecurity designs for systems with multilevel security requirements, collaborating with stakeholders to identify critical business functions, and performing security reviews to identify and address gaps in architecture. The Security Architect will play a role in providing input on security requirements for procurement documents, evaluating security architectures, and translating proposed capabilities into technical requirements. Additionally, they will develop system security context, baseline security requirements, and assess and design security management functions. They will be helping to manage Ivanti’s logging infrastructure including care and feeding, detection engineering, best practices for log analysis content and retention, as well as troubleshooting and performance forecasting. 

You will leverage best-in-class frameworks, tools, and technologies to complete your work. As part of this team, you will collaborate with members of Ivanti’s IT, SaaS, and Engineering teams. 

What You Will Be Doing: 

  • Documenting and addressing the organization's information security, cybersecurity architecture, and systems security engineering requirements throughout the acquisition life cycle. 

  • Employing secure configuration management processes. 

  • Providing input on security requirements to be included in statements of work and other appropriate procurement documents. 

  • Determining the protection needs (i.e., security controls) for the information system(s) and network(s) and document appropriately. 

  • Assessing and designing security management functions as related to cyberspace. 

  • Designing detection content for use by blue team analysts for day to day monitoring. 

  • Managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Ivanti’s corporate logging infrastructure. 

To Be Successful in The Role, You Will Have: 

 
  • Have knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and Directory Services. 

  • Be skilled in applying and incorporating information technologies into proposed solutions. 

  • Be skilled in determining how a security system should work (including its resilience and dependability capabilities) and how changes in conditions, operations, or the environment will affect these outcomes. 

  • Be skilled in configuring and utilizing software-based computer protection tools (e.g., software firewalls, MDR, vulnerability scanners). 

  • Be skilled in identifying cybersecurity and privacy issues that stem from connections with internal and external customers and partner organizations. 

  • Be able to communicate effectively while writing. 

  • Be able to apply an organization’s goals and objectives to develop and maintain architecture. 

  • Be able to apply cybersecurity and privacy to organizational requirements (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation).A minimum of five years’ experience in Information Security or IT (with a System Admin or Network Admin focus). 

  • Familiarity with logging systems and how to use and maintain them. 

  • An understanding of alerting and detection and how to find content for their development.
