Who we are looking for

The Technology Business Controls team is a First Line of Defense function responsible for driving effective technology risk management and controls assurance at State Street.  We are seeking an individual who will play a key role in the execution of various external assurance audit engagements including SOC 1, SOC 2, SOX and SWIFT.  This individual will work closely with our external auditor and a global network of control owners, process owners and other subject matter experts across GTS to execute various control testing activities.  The candidates should demonstrate knowledge of control testing, an understanding of SOC and SOX and possess strong relationship building and management skills.

What you will be responsible for

• Provide comprehensive program management for external assurance engagements
• Responsible for the timely and efficient execution of testing supporting IT General Controls (ITGC ) SOC 1, Global Information Security (GIS) SOC 2, Integrated Financial Audit (SOX) and SWIFT Attestation including process walkthrough coordination/preparation, testing evidence collection, deviation management, control governance and impact assessments
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the control environment and associated risks for assigned GTS business areas
• Review potential deviations and associated risks identified as part of SOC 1, SOC 2, SOX and SWIFT testing, perform root cause analysis and work with control owners to finalize deviation language and  management responses 
• Develop and leverage working relationships with control owners, subject matter experts and other key stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of deliverables
• Perform detailed analysis of issues relevant to SOC 1, SOC 2, SOX and SWIFT to determine potential risks and impacts to control effectiveness

• Risk and/or Audit certifications and/or related qualifications (i.e., CISA, CRISC, CISM, CISSP)
• Advanced MS Excel, Word and Power Point skills

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Risk Management, or a related field

Minimum of 8 years of experience with general risk management, controls testing, and project management
