Job Description

Why CORE Cybersecurity? 

 The CORE Cybersecurity Program will launch you towards success at Comcast NBCUniversal. Recent college graduates and/or individuals interested in beginning a cybersecurity career will have the unique opportunity to experience three different full-time cybersecurity positions within the Comcast NBCUniversal footprint over the course of two years. Rotations will be available across our Comcast Cyber Security, Comcast Global Audit, NBCU Operations & Technology Cyber businesses, & more.  

 

Your first rotation will be a one-year assignment, while your second and third rotations will each be six months in duration. As you rotate, you’ll have the opportunity to work and live in different areas of the country while building your professional skill set and gaining exposure to key business and cybersecurity leaders.  

 
You will share milestone experiences with your fellow Associates, including individual and group development opportunities to further your technical acumen and professional growth.  

 
Associates bring more than technical expertise to the program – they bring passion, innovation, and curiosity to the cybersecurity teams within Comcast NBCUniversal. They learn from each other and work together to find creative and inclusive solutions to the ever-changing technology landscape of our industry. 

 

What areas of cybersecurity might I be working across as a CORE Cybersecurity Associate? 

Your responsibilities will vary based on rotation assignments, giving you a thorough understanding of the entire business. Possible host areas may include but are not limited to: 

• Application Security 

• Cloud Security 

• Compliance 

• Data Analysis 

• DevSecOps 

• Digital Forensics 

• Governance & Policy 

• Incident Response  

• Internal Controls 

• Network Security 

• Penetration Testing 

• Project Management 

• Public Policy

• Securing Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning

What locations might I rotate through as a CORE Cybersecurity Associate? 

Possible locations may include but are not limited to: 

• Denver Metro 

• Philadelphia, PA Metro (including West Chester, PA; Mt. Laurel, NJ; Chesterbrook, PA; Trevose, PA; etc.) 

• New York, NY Metro (including Stamford, CT; Englewood Cliffs, NJ; etc.) 

 

How do I qualify? 

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or continuing education in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a directly related field.  

• Basic ability to operate in one or more of the following:  

• Scripting: Bash, Powershell, Ruby, Python, Javascript 

• Languages: Java, Go, C, C++ 

• Databases: Postgres, MySQL 

• Graduation date must be between December 2024 and the spring of 2025 

• Geographically mobile for the duration of the program and beyond 

• Prior exposure to the cybersecurity field through internships or work experience 

• Authorized to work in the United States 

Core Responsibilities

• Strives to achieve Company business objectives and engineering objectives in daily activity. Adheres to established company procedures and processes.
• Documents results of applied work processes and practical application of technical standards. Reports results to management.
• Works with limited supervision. Familiarizes self with company goals and strategies in order to achieve short-term goals with resolution.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
