Cyber Support Engineer, Senior

The Opportunity: 

As a cyber mission specialist, you understand the value of hunt-forward operations, and you know that battles are won in the grey. At Booz Allen, you can use your cyberspace operations experience to create solutions that will be executed on a worldwide stage. We’re looking for an experienced cyber mission specialist like you to apply your knowledge in cybersecurity and positively impact our nation’s security. 

 

In this role, you’ll be counted on to understand cyberspace capabilities to evaluate potential weaknesses as well as the effectiveness of mitigations for cyber security solutions. You will leverage cyberspace operations systems to aggregate threat feeds that inform briefings for senior leadership aligned to cybersecurity.

 

This is an opportunity to use your research and analysis abilities to adequately assess and inform operators, senior leadership, and commanders on dynamic adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures the mission partner. As a Senior Cyber Support Engineer, you'll touch every single part of a business and wear multiple hats: from caring for the client and their meaningful project goals to participating in business development and being a key contributor to their employees’ growth. We’re looking for someone like you to help our clients meet their mission by ensuring reliable network connectivity and systems access to Air Force cyberspace warfighters.


In this role, you’ll manage the delivery of the most advanced digital solutions. You’ll work closely with clients to address IT requirements and challenges across the Air Force. You’ll guide the Agile development of a projects, support project milestones, and implement plans, while bringing people together to make a tangible difference. Your role will be vital in the development of operations plans to support command and control.

You Have:   

  • 7+ years of experience leading high performing teams, communications architecture design, strategic planning, network problem resolution, project management, network infrastructure, IT life cycle, and information security

  • Knowledge of Air Force defensive or offensive cyberspace operations

  • Ability to integrate into IT projects being developed, including project artifacts and documentation, project plans, milestone charts, transition plans, project roadmaps, and executive-level documentation and briefings

  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail and lead discussions with various organizations to conduct strategic planning, define objectives, prioritize goals, and mitigate risks

  • Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts to validate customer requirements

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor's degree  

  • Security+ certification 

   

Nice If You Have:   

  • Experience as an operating systems administrator, systems engineer, requirements analyst, information systems security manager, or information systems security engineer

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio

  • Experience with identifying functional system requirements and capability gap analysis  

  • Experience with Remedy tool suite and IT Service Management  

  • Knowledge of enterprise environments and cloud architecture

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
