Position Overview 

Responsible for security-related items and documentation such as security measures, user entitlements, reports, alerts, incidents, vendor information, vulnerabilities (internal and external). Work closely with the Dir. of Information Security to evaluate, monitor, maintain, and enhance bank’s security program. Assist with the implementation of security controls and solutions. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Monitor, review, and document security alerts and reports generated from various platforms and applications
  • Update documentation and prepare material for quarterly IT Steering Committee or other governance entities
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and usage of security applications to help protect the bank’s infrastructure and customer information
  • Document and assist with periodic user listings/reviews and entitlements in key platforms and applications
  • Document and assist with any security breaches or incidents
  • Assist with periodic internal vulnerability scans
  • Document and review bank vendors’ security documentation; work with vendors to remediate vulnerabilities as needed
  • Work with the Director of Information Security to research and make recommendations for security enhancements and other ways to strengthen the bank’s security program
  • Remain current on technology & information security trends and security standards
  • Work closely with the IT support function and assist, as needed, with user requests, device onboarding/offboarding, or other in-person device support
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry certifications relevant to information security or information technology
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services business, regulations, and standard practices followed by banks/credit unions
  • Acute attention to detail with emphasis on thoroughness and accuracy
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Aptitude to function in a team environment, manage time efficiently, and prioritize activities
  • Proven ability to collaborate and develop relationships with business partners or unit managers to ensure objectives are met
  • Good comprehension of computer software applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, M365, and Salesforce 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is in regular communication, is required to use various tools or objects, and has the mobility to move about the office. The employee occasionally lifts and/or moves objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
