Junior SOC Analyst

We are Groupon, an international company that helps connect customers with local merchants, hotels, restaurants, and tourist destinations through our voucher-focused "experiences marketplace". We are currently in a transformation phase and are expanding our security operations team.

We are looking for a Junior SOC Analyst.

Professional Skills & Responsibilities: 

• Monitor and analyze security alerts from various sources (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, etc.).
• Perform initial triage and investigation of security incidents.
• Escalate incidents to SOC Level 2/3 analysts when necessary.
• Document and report security incidents and actions taken.
• Assist in the development and improvement of SOC processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with IT teams to resolve security issues.
• Participate in threat hunting and vulnerability assessments.
• Maintain awareness of the latest cybersecurity threats and trends.

Qualifications:

• Junior level of knowledge how cyber attacks look like
• Junior level of knowledge about terms like phishing, malware identification, hashing, encryption, end-data knowledge etc.
• Vulnerability management experience - welcome
• OS knowledge
• Networking welcome
• Junior level of knowledge of cloud

We offer REMOTE co-operation, on freelance contract.

Shift split after the initial training (3-4 months) is of 10am-2pm / 10pm/2am, all CE(S)T time.
