Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as an Application Security Intern. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of application security while working alongside experienced professionals.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in cybersecurity, excellent problem-solving skills, and a desire to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.

What You Will Do

• Enhance security tool automation and reporting in Python or Go or Java.
• Assist in conducting security assessments of web and mobile applications.
• Perform vulnerability scanning and analysis using industry-standard tools.
• Collaborate with the development team to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
• Help develop and maintain security documentation, including policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Stay updated on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.

 What skills and knowledge should you bring

• Currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of Cybersecurity principles and concepts.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or JavaScript.
• Knowledge of web application technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Nice to have:

• Previous coursework or experience in cybersecurity, particularly in application security or development.
• Experience with collaborative team development using tools such as git/github.
• Experience with security assessment tools such as DAST tooling (Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP), SAST (semgrep, coverity), Container scanning (trivy, snyk,).
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Understanding of common security frameworks and standards (e.g., OWASP Top 10, NIST Cybersecurity Framework).
