With a growing supply base across global categories of spend, our procurement and sourcing organization is passionate about elevating supplier partnership and optimizing investment with a preferred supply base. 

How You’ll Spend Your Time Here

This sourcing professional will collaborate with a variety of business unit partners to find opportunity, develop strategy and complete core initiatives for categories of spend to include software/technology, marketing and corporate services. It will be important for the individual in this role to build balance between handling daily sourcing activity and delivering on higher priority initiatives. This role will have additional accountability to support acquisition readiness and post-acquisition integration. 

Core responsibilities will include the following:

Sourcing Savvy:

  • Drive development and execution of high impact strategic sourcing projects and initiatives ensuring alignment with the overall priorities and objectives of Cohesity.
  • Collect and use data analytics, industry benchmarking and strategic sourcing methodologies to identify sourcing opportunity, develop and complete sourcing strategies.
  • Develop and present annual category sourcing plans complete with savings target, benchmarking, evaluation metrics; and deliver on the same annually.
  • Develop and maintain a preferred supply base for assigned categories of spend globally.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers on a variety of contracts, working across functions when needed, to ensure maximum value and minimum risk to Cohesity.
  • Lead strategic supplier relationships with cross functional/cross business impact covering multiple geographies.
  • Contract negotiation – effectively negotiate both business and legal terms
  • Actively supervise and evaluate savings targets with a focus on contributing to and delivering on category goals quarterly/annually.

Partner Focus:

  • Using spend analytics, develop a collaborator road map; and engagement plan for assigned categories of spend.
  • Serve as a trusted business advisor to business partners, providing best-in-class technical consulting from a sourcing and external benchmark/industry perspective.
  • Educate collaborators on sourcing field and demonstrate the value return.
  • Identify and develop a collaborate partnership with legal, accounting & finance team members for the business units.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to support the development and implementation of sourcing & procurement processes, driving operational efficiency for Cohesity.
  • Develop effective business relationships, to advance partnership and souring’s ability to influence strategic supplier selection and management forward.

We’d love to talk with you if you have many of the following:

  • Eight+ years relevant strategic sourcing experience in the categories referenced above.
  • Effective time and work-load management; ability to lead daily projects while prioritizing higher return initiatives.
  • Proven track record of identifying, developing and implementing high impact sourcing strategies 
  • Ability to communicate, influence and establish collaborations at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong business insight, including good strategy, financial and operational skills.
  • Proven project management skills to drive and close multiple complex, high risk projects across business functions and geographies.
  • Excellent negotiations skills with the ability to negotiate large volume, high risk deals independently.
  • Strong supplier leadership skills / SRM experience.
  • Experience developing and delivering training (for collaborators and fellow team members)
  • Ability to craft policy and process documents for broader organizational use

In-Office Expectations

Cohesity employees who are within a reasonable commute (e.g. within a forty-five (45) minute average travel time) work out of our core offices 2-3 days a week of their choosing.
