Description:

 

Our client in the automotive industry is seeking an Azure Security Administrator for a 4-month contract employment opportunity. The Azure Security Admin is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the security posture of the clients Azure environment. This role involves managing security policies, monitoring security alerts, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The Azure Security Admin will work closely with the IT Security team and other stakeholders to protect the organization's cloud infrastructure and data.

 

Responsibilities:

 

•    Define, implement, and manage security policies within Azure Security Center.
•    Ensure policies are enforced across all Azure resources and comply with organizational standards.
•    Monitor security alerts and incidents in Azure Security Center.
•    Investigate security incidents and respond to threats promptly.
•    Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
•    Manage role-based access control (RBAC) for Azure resources.
•    Ensure proper permissions are granted based on the principle of least privilege.
•    Manage Azure Active Directory (AD) and integrate with on-premises AD as needed.
•    Ensure Azure resources comply with relevant regulatory and industry standards.
•    Prepare and maintain documentation for compliance audits.
•    Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.
•    Integrate and manage third-party security solutions within Azure.
•    Utilize Azure security tools such as Just-in-Time VM Access, Adaptive Application Controls, and Vulnerability Assessment.
•    Develop and maintain incident response plans for Azure environments.
•    Coordinate with the IT Security team to respond to security breaches and incidents.
•    Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution.
•    Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and application development teams to implement security best practices.
•    Provide security training and awareness to staff.
•    Stay updated on the latest Azure security features and industry trends.

 

Requirements:

 

•    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are required
•    Minimum 3-5+ years of experience in IT Security or cloud security
•    Experience with Azure Security Center and other Azure security tools. 
•    Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, etc.
•    Strong understanding of cloud security principles and practices.
•    Proficient in managing security policies and access controls in Azure.
•    Experience with security monitoring and incident response.
•    Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
•    Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
•    Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
•    Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
•    Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
