Role Description

The Identity Access Management (IAM) Principal Analyst is a pivotal role within Allianz UK, reporting directly to the Head of Identity and Access Management. This position requires leadership and collaboration skills to guide a team of analysts in successfully implementing and maintaining the IAM operating model. The ideal candidate must excel in stakeholder management, possess robust technical capabilities, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

 

Responsibilities

  • IAM Resource Management - Oversee the strategic management of onshore and offshore IAM resources, ensuring optimal efficiency and productivity
  • IAM Operation Model - Take accountability for all facets of the IAM Operation model, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives
  • Access and Role Recertification - drive the delivery of annual access and role recertification campaigns, ensuring compliance with corporate and industry standards
  • Audit and Control Activities - Proactively support and remediate audit/control assessment activities related to IAM, maintaining a robust security posture
  • Local IAM Tooling - Manage and maintain Local IAM tooling, ensuring seamless integration and functionality
  • Tooling Enhancements - Lead the implementation of LIAM tooling enhancements, including streamlined asset onboarding processes
  • SoD and RBAC Profiles - Maintain and optimise Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) profiles to align with evolving business needs supported by robust, effective processes as well as create, maintain and verify Segregation of Duties matrices
  • Process Improvement - Identify, champion, and implement continuous improvements to existing IAM processes, fostering operational excellence
  • Stakeholder Relationships - Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with business owners and technical support staff, promoting a collaborative IAM environment
  • Business Understanding - Collaborate with business units to ensure a deep understanding of IAM processes and obligations, facilitating annual and quarterly access attestation processes
  • Reporting - Regularly present comprehensive reports to various stakeholders, committees, forums, and board meetings, providing insights and progress updates

 

Technical Skills

  • Substantial experience in an operational leadership role within Identity and Access Management
  • Significant experience of establishing and nurturing internal and external relationships
  • Experience in managing outsourced and insourced service providers to achieve common objectives
  • Experience in process improvement and implementation, contributing to operational efficiency
  • Experience in data management and reporting
  • Technical proficiency in Identity and Access Management technologies
  • Expertise in Information Security controls, audit, and testing principles

Qualifications

  • Degree level or equivalent appropriate experience
  • Masters level degree in a relevant professional discipline is desirable
  • CISSP qualified desirable

 

Experience

  • A comprehensive working knowledge of Information Security aspects, encompassing business continuity, physical security, and data protection
  • Proven experience in risk identification and management
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset, promoting a positive and inclusive working environment
  • Exceptional flexibility, adept at managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment
  • A positive attitude and a proactive approach, embracing challenges with a "Growth Mindset”
  • Ability to translate technical risk language into business language for effective cross-functional communication
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships, influencing key stakeholders to drive IAM initiatives forward
