Job Description

The Cyber Security Analyst will play a critical role in safeguarding the organisation's digital assets by monitoring, analysing, and responding to potential cyber threats and incidents. This position ensures the integration and alignment of operational and tactical security measures to support the organisation's strategic objectives. The analyst will collaborate with external security service providers to oversee the effectiveness of outsourced operations, and assist with some local IT support activities. Additionally, the role advises on security improvements, provides technical and security advice to other departments and the local office and maintains up-to-date knowledge of emerging cyber threats and technologies.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in an information security role; experience in vendor management and/or security operations
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience
• Relevant certifications in CompTIA Security+, CEH, CySA+, Microsoft SC-200, SC-300, SC-400, SC-900 (Highly regarded)
• Willingness to learn and have a passion for all things Cyber Security
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and associated concepts
• A good understanding of (security) technologies (e.g. Microsoft product suite, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems) and practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
