Auria is looking to hire a Cyber Systems Test Engineer to support the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. The primary work location is in Colorado Springs, CO.
The selected candidate will work in DoD operational computing environments and as part of an integrated Cybersecurity team tasked with designing, engineering, testing, certifying, and delivering a secure Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) system. Engage in in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity engineering and network design concepts, as well as experience with security audit tools and administration of security devices such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems. Provide unit-level release testing and PR/TP testing, and develop and institute test plans, which will involve verification testing, system testing, and field-testing activities. Technical document preparation and verbal communication of technical Cybersecurity issues and reports to senior government and military officials are expected to be part of daily tasks.
Essential Functions:
- Security engineering skills with a working knowledge of information assurance technology and DoDI 8500.2.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to support complex organizational relationships.
- Experience in security architecture design, Security Audit tools, security requirements generation, security testing, and administration of security devices such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Excellent technical document preparation skills are required to present technical information assurance issues and reports to senior management.
- Experience with security products such as vulnerability scanning and network assessment tools.
- Understand how to write concise test steps and other technical documentation.
- Ability to communicate with system engineers, network engineers, and software developers.
Basic Qualifications:
Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume if applicable.
- An active Secret clearance is required to start.
- 2 years with an Engineering-related bachelor’s degree; 6 years of related work experience in lieu of a degree.
- Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA)
- Two or more Tools: ACAS, HBSS, ArcSight (SIEM), Endgame, CyberArk, ICAP, Multi-Factor Authentication, UserLock, BitLocker.
- Operating Systems: RHEL (Linux), Windows 10, Windows Servers, RBAC.
- Patching: Active Directory, GPOs, BigFix Desired technical expertise.
- Networking: JunOS, Fortigate, SecureCRT, IP Plan, Web Proxy (Data Power).
- Must have solid UNIX, Windows, Juniper, CISCO, and Firewall security configuration experience, including a strong understanding of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS), HBSS, ACAS, and Software Assurance techniques & tools.
- Must have a strong understanding of RMF and interpretation of requirements, including success criteria.
- Must be familiar with Agile and automated testing and knowledgeable about implementing Common Criteria, NIST, and National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CISSP Certification is highly desirable.
- STIGs, Ansible, Vulnerability scanning, and network assessment tools are a plus.
- Occasional travel to SAFB and CMAFS is required to perform Agile sprint activities in the C2BMC Test Facility (CTF).
Salary Range: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level ($81,000 - $90,000).
