The Cyber Security Maintenance Consultant is required to provide support and preventive maintenance service to customer, to address and resolve customer’s system fault.   The person will have the opportunity to expose to different products and technologies and experience different industry sectors.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert technical consulting and advice to clients on cyber security best practices, system improvements, and emerging threats.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their security needs are met and exceeded.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries and fault resolution requests, ensuring minimal disruption to their operations.
  • Analyze and resolve technical issues related to cyber security, providing clear communication and effective solutions.
  • Engage in complex technical problem solving across multiple technologies, including but not limited to, network security, endpoint protection, and threat detection systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve security vulnerabilities and incidents.
  • Manage and maintain the equipment store, ensuring all security tools and devices are in optimal condition and readily available.
  • Track inventory levels and order necessary equipment to ensure continuous availability of critical security resources.
  • Coordinate with vendors for the repair of faulty equipment, including making arrangements for shipping and tracking repair progress.
  • Ensure repaired equipment meets quality standards before re-deployment.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance for clients, including updates, patches, and system health checks to preemptively address potential security issues.
  • Document maintenance activities and findings, providing clients with detailed reports and recommendations.
  • Conduct thorough network troubleshooting to identify and resolve connectivity and performance issues.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to ensure the robustness and reliability of client networks.

 

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent is a plus.
  • Preferably minimum 6 years of experience in a System Integration environment and/or implementing Cyber/Network security systems
  • Familiar and experienced in implementing and configuring network products like routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls and more
  • Strong familiarity with Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Fortinet, F5, VPN, DNS, NTP, 2 FA technologies
  • Certification in Network products is a plus
  • Python or Linux shell scripting skill is a plus
  • Good vendor and stakeholder management experience
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with ability to explain technology from a customer perspective
