ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a (Senior) Manager, Security Office to join us at the SES HQ in Luxembourg!

In this role, you will be responsible for the Local Security Office, working with  EU / ESA / NATO protected and classified information topics. Your scope includes managing regular security operations that ensure compliance with local laws and regulations. In addition, you will chair the Global SES Security Steering Committee - an instrumental organ shaping the direction of our security initiatives, ensuring adequate protection mechanics and fostering security awareness across SES.

This role requires all candidates to be native to a EU country, and willing to undergo a secret clearance process.

 

You will be responsible for (this is not an exhaustive list):

  • Co-create with the SES Security Steering Committee:

    • a global security framework that aligns with SES business goals and ensures protection of classified information

    • a SES Security Policies and framework - to ensure proper implementation with respective departments, to ensure standards are adhered to and safeguard of classified information

  • Responsible for translating the Luxembourg National Security Authority (NSA) and international organizations’ (such as EU, NATO and other) protection and security requirements with regards to classified documents and collaborate with relevant departments to ensure implementation, monitoring and reporting
  • Perform role in alignment with National rules & regulations, such as (but not limited to) ANS Reference P001 “Tâches de début et de fin de mission d’un officier de sécurité”
  • Facilitate activities for global products and projects in the protected and classified domain, streamlining processes and ensuring cohesive security measures across all initiatives

  • Lead the certification and accreditation process for SES Luxembourg in relation to classified information

  • Co-create with the SES Security Steering Committee incident response plan for security breaches involving classified information

    • ​​Facilitate with respective departments response to security incidents, focusing on swift action and minimising impact

  • ​​​​​​​​​​​Collaborate with respective departments on the selection and requirements of security technologies and systems, designed to protect classified information, including encryption and access control

  • Represent SES in Luxembourg in discussions with regulators as well as partners and other stakeholders as required

 

YOUR PROFILE

Must have 

  • University degree

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing classified information
  • Solid foundation in information technology and cybersecurity
  • Experience with ESA, EU and NATO specific protocols, standards and relevant regulatory environment
  • Proven track record in the accreditation and certification process of classified information
  • Comprehensive knowledge of international and national laws and regulations in relation to classified information
  • Proven track record in:
    • Developing and implementing global security policies
    • Collaboration with various stakeholders to achieve compliance and manage incident response
  • Proficiency in identifying, assessing and mitigating security risks
  • Proficiency in English, Luxembourgish strongly preferred
