About the work environment:
Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role, you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home. Typically, you'll work regular business hours, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., with flexibility around start/end times.
We are hiring for this position out of our Toronto Office. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.
The role requires the candidate to participate in an on-call rotation, acting as an escalation path.
About you:
As Senior Corporate Information Security Analyst you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our organizations information assets. You will lead efforts to protect sensitive data. You will ensure compliance with security policies, and mitigate risks associated with cyber threats. Your expertise will be crucial in maintain the integrity, confidentiality, and availability or our systems and data.
About the day-to-day:
- Develop, implement, maintain, and oversee enforcement of policies, procedures, and associated plans for system security administration and user system access based on industry-standard best practices.
- Ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data residing on or transmitted to/from/through enterprise systems.
- Perform regular security awareness training for all employees to ensure consistently high levels of compliance with enterprise security documents.
- Oversee the deployment, integration and initial configuration of all new security solutions and any enhancements to existing security solutions in accordance with standard best operating procedures generically and the enterprise’s security documents specifically.
- Select and acquire additional security solutions or enhancements to existing security solutions to improve overall enterprise security per the enterprise’s existing procurement processes.
- Maintain up-to-date baselines for the secure configuration and operations of all in-place devices, whether they are under the direct control of Information Security (e.g., security tools) or not (e.g., workstations, servers, network devices).
- Monitor all in-place security solutions for efficient and appropriate operations.
- Review logs and reports of all in-place devices. Interpret the implications of that activity and devise plans for appropriate resolution.
- Participate in investigations.
- Develop metrics to convey the status and health of applicable cyber-security compliance initiatives.
- Develop automation or enhancements to improve program efficiency.
- Maintain our vulnerability management program.
- Assist with BCP planning and run tabletop exercises.
- Build and maintain a Threat and Vulnerability Management Program.
- Review security notifications and assess the impact on Peoples Group.
About the qualifications:
- Proven experience (6+ years) as a Security Analyst or in a similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or a related field
- CISSP, SSCP, CCSP or other certifications.
- Knowledge of PCI-DSS, SOC, NIST and CIS.
- Knowledge of Prisma cloud, SIEM, SOC, Microsoft Sentinel, or similar services.
- Extensive experience in enterprise security document creation.
- Highly creative problem-solver.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to conduct research into IT security issues and products as required.
- Keen attention to detail.
Compensation:
Peoples Group is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary plus a discretionary profit share opportunity. The salary for this position will vary between $110,000 and $130,000 per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience that the chosen candidate possess. As part of our recruiting process, shortlisted candidates will be asked their salary expectations for this position.
