In this role, you collaborate with our global team and stakeholders to keep Coupa’s digital ecosystem safe from cybersecurity threats. You support every product and customer team at Coupa, by providing them the peace of mind that their computing environment will be safe from attack, including reporting on vulnerabilities and operational metrics. You are a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail and passion for data; have a sense of humor and ability to have fun while working in a fast-paced and changing environment. Our teams are close-knit, high performing and insatiably curious.  We are unsatisfied with half-answers and incomplete solutions. 

What you will do:

• Operate security tools and platforms associated with vulnerability management, detection, correlation, intrusion detection/prevention, etc. to detect and prevent harm to the Coupa platform and its users.
• Act as an escalation point for security related events such as: alerts, incidents, vulnerabilities, and compliance related controls within Coupa’s cloud based production services and platform
• Collaborate with technology teams to deliver shared security services
• Monitor and analyze security data to maintain and exceed key performance indicators that tell the story of threats and our defenses against them
• Troubleshoot and document security incidents
• Drive security programs to actively reduce operational risk across Coupa ecosystem
• Conduct security risk assessments on behalf of internal and external customers
• Automate security assessments and other security related tasks
• Resolve security issues from assessments and other sources and deliver upon assigned security projects
• Contribute to Coupa’s security strategy
• Participate in Security Incident On-call rotation, leading incident response during shifts

What you will bring to Coupa:

• Demonstrate senior level in security related role with at least 4 years of experience
• Demonstrate knowledge of cloud computing and software as a service
• Demonstrate hands-on operational experience with security tools related to infrastructure and application security and correlation
• Demonstrate automation techniques and automate simple processes/commands
• Comfortable operating in one or more major cloud platforms
• Current incident response experience
• Strong communication skills; both written and oral
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow
