Role Overview: Cruise is seeking a Head of Global Security Operations to lead our security operations team. Reporting directly to the Head of Global Security, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and security of Cruise's facilities, employees, and assets. They will lead a team of Security Managers and spearhead the Global Security Operations Center. This role involves extensive collaboration across departments and with external partners to develop and implement security policies, manage risk, and be responsible for all aspects of physical security and incident response, and internal customer support.
What You'll Be Doing:

Develop and communicate a scalable security strategy, integrating advanced technology solutions and standard processes in threat management, access control, and risk mitigation.

Lead and run the global security operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and dedication.

Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, develop contingency plans, and implement emergency response procedures for incidents globally.

Collaborate with internal partners and external law enforcement agencies to coordinate effective security and emergency/incident response strategies.

Lead the budget for global security operations, ensuring efficient allocation of resources towards contract security deployments.

Stay abreast of the latest security trends, technologies, and regulations to continuously enhance Cruise’s security posture.
What You Must Have:

Bachelor's degree required
-
Proven experience in security management, preferably in high-tech, transportation, or related industries, with a proven track record of leading global security operations.

Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build effective teams, inspire innovation, and drive operational excellence.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with experience in developing and implementing comprehensive security strategies.

Experience in crisis management, incident response, and coordination with law enforcement and emergency response agencies.

Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time as well the ability to work from the Scottsdale office a few days a week

Professional certifications such as CPP, PMP, etc.

Direct experience in the transportation industry, including knowledge of electric vehicle charging and servicing.
The salary range for this position is $144,100 - $211,900. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, long-term incentives, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
