We are looking for an IT Senior Audit Manager, Vice President, who will be responsible for developing and overseeing multiple business audits covering IT application controls, IT General Controls, operational and oversight monitoring activities and ensuring compliance with the division’s risk-based audit methodology.
You will be part of a team of approximately 350 professionals globally, and you will be responsible for providing independent, objective assurance and advisory services designed to add value, minimize risk, and improve the overall control environment of State Street Corporation and its subsidiaries. You will interact and communicate regularly with executive management and have tremendous insight into all parts of the company’s daily operations.
You will be based in Munich, but this role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

As IT Senior Audit Manager, Vice President you will
- Work as part of an international team with global stakeholders in new and changing situations where there may not always be a readily apparent solution.
- Oversee the planning, assessment, testing and reporting phases of the audits.
- Draft, review, finalize and communicate audit deliverables to senior and executive management.
- Maintain subject matter knowledge related to regulatory requirements (for example the Supervisory Requirements for IT in Financial Institutions - BAIT).
- Recommend adjustments to the overall audit plan based on continuous monitoring activities, audit plan progress, and changes in business area risk profiles.
- Schedule, oversee and deliver audit assurance and advisory services, including resource management, planning assignments, and providing overall direction to the audit team.
- Manage, coach, and develop staff, including participating in the talent management, staff evaluation, and new hire processes. Help to build technology audit skills across the division.
- Strengthen internal control disciplines within the corporation by influencing relevant policies, promoting education/ understanding of control concepts.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, economics, accounting, or related field;
- CISA certified, any additional qualification is a plus (e.g., CISM, CISSP, CDPSE)
- 10+ years of audit experience and/or related experience including 7+ years’ experience managing complex audit operations or related projects in public accounting or financial services internal audits;
- Experience in financial services industry, including an understanding of the regulatory environment, in particular, deep knowledge of EU-wide and national regulations covering IT risks, specifically EBA Guidelines, BAIT;
Expertise in or experience auditing certain technology-related areas, such as:
- Identity and Access Management/Privileged Access Management/Adaptive Authentication Solution
- Financial services operational processes and technology
- Automated business process controls
- Data protection (incl. GDPR)
- Enterprise application development models
- Security Incident and Event Management Technologies
- Cloud computing
- Third party oversight
Additional requirements
- Interest in emerging technologies (e.g., AI, ML, digital currency)
- Willingness to travel up to 20% annually, mostly in Europe
