What you will learn and contribute to

As part of the Technology and Solutions team in the Product Security organization, you will be on the forefront of all topics related to product security enhancements, customer / country regulations, FOSS guidelines, Nokia internal security processes etc. You will be part of the R&D team with as a Solution Architect with a focus on the entire solution including system architecture, requirement gathering and definition, new feature design and User Story breakdown, interfacing with key users and customer teams etc. You will also be part of the team sharing the overall responsibility for the technical growth of the product, roadmap guidance, user support / trainings as needed. 

Job Description
Overall responsibility of this position includes but not limited to:
You will be part of a R&D team which focuses on Security compliance platform for Nokia Products. As a Solution Architect, you will be at the forefront of defining and designing new features and functionalities that adhere to latest Security guidelines and Customer requirement. You will be part of a team that believes in innovation to augment our solutions with advanced functionalities.
 
Other responsibilities include:  

• Design and develop needed enhancements and new features per the system roadmap on time and with high quality
• Partner with other key work partners / Customer teams to define additional applications on the product platform
• Interface with technical R&D team in designing and implementing complex features 
• Stay current with technology including security tools, regulatory and compliance requirements, industry trends etc
• Lead innovation by understanding real world problem statements and defining solutions
• Develop and Integrate Systems and/or tools to take concepts to implementation
 

Responsibilities & Competencies
 
Skills and Experience
13-17 years' experience with 5 - 7 years' experience as Software Architect.

• Identifies the stakeholders involved and coordinates within the product lifecycle activities for initial phase of product development. 
• Captures and manages the functional and non-functional requirements by using industry best practices. 
• Develops and manages the subsystem level design of the product. 
• Research, designs, plans, develops and / or evaluates new advanced network technologies by translating customer requirements or strategic business objectives into final product design.
• Work typically includes in-depth assessment of the customer's networked application needs, providing network modelling and simulation testing, consulting to further clarify needs, and engineering high-speed technology network transports to deliver application functionality.
• Designs, defines and implements integrated hardware / software systems requirements for customers and / or prepares studies and analyses existing systems. 
• Determines system specifications, input / output processes and working parameters for hardware / software compatibility. 
• Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. 
• Solves complex problems based on sophisticated analytical thought and complex judgment.
• Operates autonomously in own subject area. Can analyze, develop and implement concepts and solutions as a subject matter expert. 
• Communicates with parties within and outside of own job function and teams, and typically has responsibilities for communicating with stakeholders.
• Carries out specialized activities/projects according to general direction and contributes to innovation.

 

Working experience

• Advanced working knowledge of Product design and E2E system architecture
• Knowledge of network, information or product security principles and software development processes
• Knowhow of FOSS handling, specifically Software composition analysis
• Working knowledge of Python, Django, postGre SQL, REST interfaces
• Significant experience working in Agile teams with E2E feature breakdown into User Stories
• Working knowledge of scripting languages like Shell, Perl 
• Working knowledge of system bringup in Cloud architecture (Dockers and containers)
• Working knowledge of Cloud deployments and configurations (Azure preferred)
• Knowhow of Nokia IT infrastructure, Nokia tools (JIRA, GIT, Gerrit, Amazon S3…) 
• Cryptographic encryption and hashing standards and implementation is a plus
• Knowhow of Product Security scanning tools such as Nessus, nmap, OpenSCAP etc is a plus
 

Background Preferences

• Background in Product design and architecture
• Knowledge of Cloud architecture and deployment
• Must have experience in complex feature design, interfacing with external teams
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodology
• Background in Product Security, compliance and audit is a plus
• Other industry certifications such as CISSP is a plus
