The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer is a member of the Sabre Risk & Security team. The security team member works under the guidance of the security engineering manager and other team members to plan, design, implement and operate security tools and process.  

Sabre’s Cybersecurity team is responsible to protect Sabre through the employment of tools, technologies, and processes to detect, respond to, and remediate all security attacks on information technology.

Responsibilities 

• Implement Cybersecurity products and solutions as per business and technical requirements. 

• Maintain Cybersecurity best practices and compliance program requirements. 

• Maintain detailed process and technical documentation. 

• Works directly with engineering teams to quickly resolve security events, requirements, and operational needs. 

The successful candidate will have

• Direct experience web application firewalls (Imperva/Incapsula, Cloud Armor, AWS WAF)

• Fluency with scripting/markdown languages:

  • Terraform

  • bash

  • Ansible

  • Python

  • Markdown/Asciidocs

  • Yaml, JSON, XML

• Deep understanding of Operating systems — Windows and Linux including:

  • Domain architecture

  • Linux Identity management

  • OS scripting (powershell/bash)

• Experience with developing cloud-based solutions (GCP/AWS)

  • Infrastructure as Code deployments (via terraform)

  • IAM and Access Controls (projects/accounts, role customization, identity)

  • Cloud Compute

  • Cloud Networking

  • Cloud Storage

  • Cloud Monitoring

  • Autoscaling/Autohealing and dynamic resource management

• Familiarity with modern Software Development Lifecycle

  • Git, pull requests, peer review

  • Continuous Integration, automated testing

  • Continuous Delivery, deployment strategies (blue-green, canary, rolling)

  • Production change management

Preferred Experience 

• Kubernetes

• Deep understanding of OWASP and Mod Security rules.

• Knowledge of common security attack tactics, techniques (e.g., DDoS, XSS, data injection, remote code execution)

• Knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), CIS Benchmarks, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS)
