The opportunity:

The Principal Security Architect will be responsible for protecting AIA’s brand, reputation, financial, regulatory position, and strong commitment to customer satisfaction, through embedding security into solutions we build in a simpler, faster, safer, and more connected manner.

 To do this successfully you will:

• Identify and apply security industry best practices to reduce risk and vulnerabilities to improve AIA security risk posture.
• Develop, enhance, and implement security architecture best practices to align with technology SDLC frameworks.
• Embed security design thinking throughout delivery of change to safeguard CI/CD pipelines to enable DevSecOps and cloud adoptions.
• Manage and conduct security architecture assessment.
• Mentor and uplift junior security resources.
• Identify and resolve compliance and security engineering issues.
• Develop security patterns and guardrails to enable a fast-paced delivery model.
• Ensure key security controls are embedded into the designed solutions that spans application, infrastructure, and cloud services.
• Provide advice related to information security risks and compliance within programs and projects.

Successful applications will demonstrate:

• Qualification in Computer Engineering/Science, Information Systems or equivalent I.T degrees.
• Relevant security professional certification such as:

• SABSA Security Architect - Foundation Certificate (SCF)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or (CCSK)
• Cloud Security Certifications for Azure and AWS
• Risk management certification such as CRISC
• Security Management such as CISM

• Extensive experience in information security architecture, preferably in Financial Services, Banking, Insurance or Consulting.
• Strong technical knowledge within security technology domains across IAM, Network, Compute, Application, Cloud and Data protection.
• Proven understanding of security best practices, policy, standards, and benchmarks.
• Proven threat and vulnerability management experience
• Strategic vision, critical thinking and demonstrated leadership skills.
• Strong consultative, influencing, facilitation and communication skills.
