Technical Project Manager

Let's talk about the Role

The cybersecurity project manager will support the execution of cybersecurity elements across global programs and services. Executions include working with multiple security, IT and engineering, leadership and a variety of stakeholders and resources to identify and plan implementation of cybersecurity initiatives to mitigate risks. Deliverables include, but are not limited to, creating work breakdown structures (WBS), project and product plans, cost estimates, recommendations, status reports and executive presentations.

The position might require international travel.

Let's talk about the Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Lead and manage multiple information security, cyber security, and IAM projects concurrently, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

• Implement SCRUM Agile methodologies to drive project execution, foster collaboration among cross-functional teams, and deliver projects iteratively and incrementally.

• Utilize JIRA and Confluence proficiently for project planning, task tracking, issue management, and collaboration among team members.

• Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and market demands.

• Create and manage project roadmap that outlines the product's development and release schedule.

• Prioritize features, enhancements, and improvements based on business value, customer needs, and technical feasibility.

• Manage multiple projects with broad scope, ambiguity, and high degree of difficulty.

• Facilitate communication and coordination among teams to ensure alignment and efficient workflow.

• Identify potential opportunities, risks or complications for products and services

• Work closely with the Security team to identify the requirements, and follow up with the business stakeholders on action items

• Expert in demonstrating proficiency in a wide range of information IT security technologies, embedded security, and platforms

• Expert with a high level of analytical ability where problems are typically unusual and difficult - gather and interpret complex qualitative or quantitative data

• Maintain a working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and elements

• Understand global program structure, launch plan and timing, and global program ownership.

• Define and establish appropriate data metrics to measure project progress, performance, and outcomes. Implement mechanisms to collect, analyze, and interpret data to support informed decision-making.

• Develop and present comprehensive reports on project status, metrics, and insights to senior leadership and stakeholders. Clearly articulate project progress, issues, and recommendations for adjustments or improvements.

Let's talk about Qualifications and Experience

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with SCRUM Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog management, and sprint retrospectives.

• Proficiency in using JIRA and Confluence for project management and collaboration.

• Proven ability to establish and leverage data metrics to drive project decisions and outcomes.

• Experience in preparing and presenting detailed project reports and insights to senior leadership.

• Structured project management experience in deploying security-related initiatives

• Broad experience in computer and network systems, including IT security

• Ability to handle ambiguity and make decisions and recommendations with limited data

• Strong communication, documentation and governance skills

• Solid analytical/problem-solving skills with capability to identify solutions to unusual and complex problems.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Master’s degree or certifications (e.g., PMP, CISM, CISSP) preferred.

• Risk assessment and management experience.

• Direct, hands-on experience or strong working knowledge of managing security infrastructure

• Strong working knowledge of IT service management including change, configuration, asset, incident and problem management.

• Experience within a manufacturing firm in the healthcare industry.

• Working knowledge of ISO27001, ISO27002, Sarbanes Oxley, HITRUST, and similar security frameworks.
