About the role

The SecApps Frontend team is responsible for building the security product to secure 80k+ enterprise customers and allow them to mitigate security risks. In addition, we are expanding the product beyond insurance to act as its own security product.

This is a key investment for Coalition right now as there is a significant push to turn this product into a revenue stream of its own. This is evident by a recent email from the CEO to the whole company stating that this is an investment area we want to focus on.

Engineers on the frontend team will work heavily with the backend and integrations teams to build new product features to protect our customers.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a remote team
• Write UX or E2E features for the security product
• Work closely with product and design to turn requirements into features for the product
• You will join our engineering team and work closely with our product design team. As such, this role comes with a significant amount of autonomy and ownership. You should enjoy the challenge of enabling our customers needs and building features that best enable them.
• Review work done by other engineers

Skills and Qualifications

• 0-2+ years of blended internship and/or professional development experience
• Experienced in frontend or full stack development
• Experience with React or another modern Javascript framework
• Unit and end-to-end testing
• Experienced knowledge of code versioning tools (e.g. Git)
• Experience building frontends for API based services or building them yourself

Bonus Skills

• Experience or passion for security and protecting companies from being hacked
• Deployment automation and scalable infrastructure
• Knowledge of HTTP / REST security concepts, including common vulnerabilities
• Knowledge of other useful web technologies: Redux, Webpack, ES6, TypeScript, etc
