We are looking for experienced, innovative and motivated IT Specialists to support enablement of AFRICOM, EUCOM and CJTF-HOA’s mission objectives.

What You’ll Get to Do:

CACI has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Platforms Engineer.  This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, US EUCOM located OCONUS in Stuttgart, Germany.  This position is required to travel OCONUS. 

Supports Windows Servers as well as some non-windows appliances across multiple enclaves. Optimizes system operation and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning. Provides assistance to users in accessing and using business systems.

Performs a variety of difficult assignments associated with monitoring and controlling computer operating systems. Supervises and manages the daily activities of configuration and operation of business systems. Optimizes system operation and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning. Provides assistance to users in accessing and using business systems. Sets up and maintains multiple types of systems (predominantly Windows Servers). Analyzes system faults and troubleshoots and runs diagnostic tests on operating systems and hardware to detect problems. Evaluates and installs developed software during various phases of testing. Reviews and prepares documentation for systems, tests and installation of software. Investigates and recommends methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Initiates preventive maintenance on the operating systems as well as repair to system/environment problems. Administers systems/environment solutions for multiple projects with varying schedules. Interfaces with vendors for trouble calls. Supports the planning of system/environment requirements for individual projects.  May provide work direction and guidance to others.

More About the Role:

The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner.  The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts.  The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users.

Specifically the windows System Administrator (SA) will be responsible for supporting systems and applications on a geographically dispersed Windows 10 Enterprise network with multiple types of servers and server applications. The SA will be responsible for Windows system administrator functions supporting a global Active Directory infrastructure in a mixed Windows environment.   The SA will provide senior level knowledge and Tier 1/2 support to the customer and their components to include Tier 1/2 infrastructure troubleshooting and support that involves the configuration and administration of servers in their area of operation. 

Additionally, the SA will provide remote support and/or travel to customer servers and sites as required.  The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining and supporting Windows Server (2012R2, Server 2016 and Server2019). The position will be successful in providing necessary administration and maintenance support of this system.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT Systems, or a related discipline, or MCSE (2012R2 or higher) and 10 years + of related experience
  • Industry knowledge and experience, including current industry trends and challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a team player mindset.
  • Current TS/SCI
  • Security Certifications (CEH, CASP, CISSP, or equivalent – IAT Level II)

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience working with IT customers within the Department of Defense.
  • Excellent Troubleshooting Skills
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with diverse members of other technical teams and with the customer base.
  • ITIL v4 - Foundation
  • Automation using Microsoft PowerShell, VBScript, or batch files
  • Experience with Microsoft SCCM
  • The ability to adapt to changing circumstances and operational needs
  • Experience working in VmWare ESXi environments
  • Experience working in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure environments
  • Experience with network storage (SAN/NAS)
  • Experience with enterprise backup solutions
  • Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards

Experience working with and supporting Cisco Routers and Switches

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$75,200 - 158,100 USD
